And, because of it, I became hooked on the Cosmere and the cosmic war that The Stormlight Archive is leading to. So, for Sanderson, mission accomplished.

Dune: Taste Versus Quality
The characters in Dune don’t journey as much as are placed on a board. That’s ok! In fact, it’s excellent writing. I can appreciate it. But I don’t necessarily enjoy it.

While it may not be my favorite book I have ever read, it is probably the best and greatest book I have ever read. It is the culmination of a man’s views on the world told in a story that will move any heart. It is worth every second of the experience.
